Clio Meet, Ace Cafe London

Photo579.jpgIts been along time since i have been to the Ace Cafe in London, but as I’m not too far away and had arranged to meet someone there, i thought i would take the camera along with me and check out some of London’s otherĀ  modified french cars.

Unfortunately the camera broke, but i managed to borrow one and take a few more snaps!

It was the monthly French Car meet at the ace cafe in London. This happens on the third Monday of every month, come winter, rain or shine you will always be able to see some much loved French cars.

After a chat with mr2haz, on the forums, from whom i was buying a new manifold for the project car we agree to meet up, grab a bite to eat and take a few snaps of the cars, as well as exchange money for the manifold.

Off i went round the North Circular, playing dodgems with the less than average driving skills and maneuvers adopted by London’s drivers!

I arrived there safely and waited for Haz to arrive… The gate staff would at first not let him in. He said to me that they only let it in because it has alloy wheels, they refused to believe it had a 2litre engine in it! For those that don’t know Mr Haz drives the ultimate sleeper wagon, a bog standard Clio, with a Williams engine in it… Caravan sticker and all (we are soon to feature his car on the website, check back soon).

After taking a few snaps of the cars my battery died, so i had to use Haz’s camera phone (which wasn’t to shabby!). Hopefully next month I will take some more pics, and with a bit of luck see you there!

A haggle of people around Haz’s engine bay!

I loved the sign! They have them all over the place. Obviously they have had a telling off from the Police. Hope you enjoyed. Let us know what you think over in our deadicated Clio forums.
